Faire Connect: a Shopify store locator built from your Faire orders

Beta · September 2026

If most of your wholesale runs through Faire, your stockist list is already written down — it's the list of retailers who have ordered from you. Faire Connect reads that order history and turns it into a "where to buy near me" map on your Shopify storefront: one pin per retailer, tagged with the products they ordered. No export, no spreadsheet, no retyping addresses.

Faire Connect is in beta and switched on per store. Email support@nearmio.com with your store's URL and we'll enable it and send the two setup steps — we reply within one business day.

What you get

How to connect Faire to your store locator

  1. Install Nearmio from the Shopify App Store and ask us to enable the beta for your store.
  2. Generate a Faire access token. In your Faire brand portal open Settings → Integrations, scroll to the bottom, and choose "Have an unpublished integration?". Enter the Nearmio app ID we send you and Faire generates a token. Any brand can do this — it needs no approval from Faire.
  3. Paste the token into Nearmio → Faire. Nearmio checks it against your Faire brand profile, then stores it encrypted. Only its last four characters are ever shown again.
  4. Press Import retailers now. Addresses are placed on the map automatically — there is no Google API key to set up. Anything that lands vaguely goes to a review queue where you fix it by dragging the pin.
  5. Add the map to your storefront. Online Store → Themes → Customize, then add the Store locator app block to your "Where to buy" page. No code, no theme edits.

What it reads, and what it can't do

Faire Connect makes two kinds of request to Faire: one to read your brand profile (to prove the token works) and one to read your orders. That is all. It cannot create, edit, or cancel anything on Faire.

On the Shopify side nothing changes: the token is pasted into Nearmio rather than granted by Shopify, so the app still requests no access scopes and never touches your products, orders, or customers. Disconnecting deletes the stored token; the stockists you already imported stay on your map.

Beta: what isn't there yet

Today the import runs when you press the button. Scheduled syncing — new retailers appearing on their own, and retailers who haven't ordered in a long while dropping off — is what we're building next. If that's the part you need, tell us when you ask for beta access; it decides what we build first.

One thing to check after your first import: a Faire shipping address is usually the shop itself, but sometimes it's a stockroom or an office. Skim the list before you publish the page — a wrong pin takes a few seconds to fix.

Questions

Can Nearmio change anything in my Faire account?

No. It only reads your brand profile and your order history.

Does Faire Connect need extra Shopify permissions?

No. Nearmio still requests no Shopify access scopes.

Does the map update automatically when a new retailer orders?

Not yet — during the beta you press Import again. Scheduled syncing is next.

What about retailers who order outside Faire?

Add them by CSV import or by hand. Faire retailers and other stockists live on the same map.

What does it cost?

Nearmio is free for up to 5 locations, so on the Free plan the first 5 retailers are imported. The Pro plan — $9.99/month flat, unlimited locations, 7-day free trial — removes the limit. No per-store fees.

I'm not in the beta. Can I still map my Faire retailers?

Yes — export your order history from Faire and import the CSV. The walkthrough is in Turn your Faire retailer list into a "where to buy" map.
