Sell on Faire? Turn your retailer list into a "where to buy" map

If you sell wholesale on Faire, you've already done the hard part of building a stockist page: you have stockists. Dozens, maybe hundreds of independent shops carry your products. But when a shopper lands on your website and wonders "can I see this in person somewhere near me?", most brand sites give them nothing — no map, a stale list from two seasons ago, or a "where to buy" link that 404s.

The strange part is that the missing data isn't missing at all. It's sitting in your Faire brand portal, attached to every order you've ever shipped.

Why a where-to-buy page pays wholesale brands twice

Once with shoppers. Some people simply won't buy a candle, a hot sauce, or a $200 pet bed unseen. A "where to buy near me" map converts those visitors into foot traffic for your stockists instead of a closed tab — a sale you'd otherwise never see, at zero shipping cost to you.

And again with retailers. Shops reorder from brands that pull customers through their door. A stockist page is the cheapest retail support you can offer — every shop on your map gets free, permanent promotion on your own domain. It's also a signal to prospective stockists browsing your site (and your Faire page): this brand sends customers to the shops that carry it. Retail buyers notice.

Your stockist list already exists — it's your Faire order history

Faire lets brands export their order history from the brand portal: open the Orders tab and choose Export, and a CSV lands in your email. The order summary export includes each retailer's shop name and address — which is exactly what a store-locator map needs (see Faire's own help article, "Can I export order data?").

So the workflow is not "spend a weekend building a stockist spreadsheet." It's "export a file you already have."

From Faire export to live map in four steps

  1. Export your orders from Faire. Brand portal → Orders → Export. Open the CSV in a spreadsheet and keep one row per retailer: shop name, address, city, state, zip. Delete duplicate rows for repeat orders.
  2. Give the list a quick sanity pass. Two things worth catching: shops that are online-only (no storefront to send anyone to), and shipping addresses that are a warehouse or the owner's home rather than the shop floor. When in doubt, a shop's Google listing settles it in seconds — and you can also fix any straggler on the map afterwards.
  3. Install Nearmio and import the CSV. From Locations → Import locations from CSV, drop the file in. Column headers are matched loosely, so a Faire-style export mostly maps itself — zip is read as postcode, state as region, store as name. You'll see a full row-by-row preview (new, updates, duplicates, anything invalid) before a single location is created. Commit, and every address is geocoded onto the map automatically — there is no Google API key or map account to set up. Anything that lands vaguely gets flagged for a two-second drag-the-pin fix, not silently mapped wrong.
  4. Add the map to your storefront. In your Shopify admin: Online Store → Themes → Customize, add the Store locator app block to your "Where to buy" page. No code, no theme edits. Shoppers can now search by city or zip, tap near me, and get one-tap directions to their closest stockist.

Realistically, that's about 15 minutes from export to live map — the sanity pass on your retailer list is the longest step.

Keeping it fresh is a re-upload, not a project

Stockist lists rot — that's why so many brands' where-to-buy pages are quietly wrong. With this workflow, refreshing is: export from Faire again, re-upload the same file. Matching locations are updated in place, new stockists are added, and any pin you've hand-corrected keeps its fix. Do it once a season, or whenever a wave of new wholesale orders comes in.

Bonus: your stockists become visible to AI assistants too

Shoppers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity where to buy things. Most store-locator widgets are invisible to those assistants — the store list only exists as JavaScript.
